A couple of days ago, the sky had shown some astonishing colours of deep red, orange hues and yellow tints. It was also before seven in the morning, so it was a very rare and remarkable image to come across. This definitely was not an image to miss capturing.

Above are some prints done in relation to my personal project. I used a triptych layout showing my raven character in different angles. I also experimented on using a painterly technique for applying colour to my etchings, a colour roll technique and even some chinese calender paper to emphasise the forms of my characters.

For an appropriation task, we were required to paint a replication of an artist's painting (see top left for original and right for appropriation). I had chosen "Moonlight" by one of my most favourite artists, Edvard Munch.
Then, we had to paint the same composition in our chosen artist's style but with our own self-portrait in place. Further on in this task, we'll need to continue painting images which reflect the same style but progressively becomes more original.
